

HANSON, David G., age 90, of Rochester, October 28,2010. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army as a 1st Lt and was a bomber pilot who flew over 96 missions in the European Theatre. His plane was downed on his 19th combat mission and was made a prisoner of war. His professional career was spent with Merrill Lynch and retired in 1986 as a Government Specialties Broker. Beloved husband of Mildred A. Hanson, whom he married October 1, 1977 and the late Virginia Hanson. Dear father of David (Diane) Hanson, Jr., Katherine (James “Al”) McDonough, Douglas (Dina) Hanson, Robin (Holly) Hanson, Peter Hanson and Susan Henderson. Step-father of Pamela Dryer, Charles (Raychel) Prather and Susan (John) Montgomery. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Saturday at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in Rochester. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
