David Quinten Yost

David was born in West Branch, Michigan, to Quinten and June Yost on April 25th, 1951. David grew up in the Mio area, where he attended Mio/AuSable schools. He was an outstanding athlete, excelling in basketball, football and baseball.

David graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS in Education, and a MA in Educational Administration and Supervision. He taught middle school math and social studies for 30 years as well was a very successful basketball, baseball and football coach during that time period.

David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Michal M. “Shelly” Clark Yost, their daughter, Erica Leeann Yost and his brother, Dan (Geri) of Highland, MI. He is dearly loved by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is also truly missed by many former students and athletes. David is preceded in death by his parents Quinten and June Yost and cousin Mark (Jan) Yost.
