

He was born to the late Donald Leroy and Mary Catherine (Fagan) Marcus on May 10, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his beloved wife Kim Evelyn Marcus (Kroesing) of 44 years.
He was a devoted father to Kerri Lea (Jon) Pansie, Kelly Lynn (Derrick Watkins) Marcus, William Fagan (Margaret) Marcus, and preceded in death by Margaret Marie (Travis) Tarr. He was the proud grandfather to Evan Pansie, Emilea Pansie, and Eleanor Marcus. He is also survived by his siblings Gerald Marcus, Patricia Bastien, Richard Marcus, Kathleen Dreher, and preceded in death by siblings Thomas Marcus and Marianne Velez.
Don was known for his profound kindness, gentle manor, infectious laugh and sense of humor that brought joy to many. He had a passion for poetry, reading, hunting, drawing, and photography. He loved good food and fine wine. Most of all he had a true appreciation for life, nature and above all his family.
Don served in the United States Army. Afterwards he began his career as an art assistant and went on to work for Meteor Photo, which was the leading and largest professional photographic laboratory of the Midwest. He worked in outside sales as a technical consultant and then moved on to be an executive for Color Perfect.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Saint Priscilla’s Catholic Church 19120 Purlingbrook St. Livonia, Mi 48152. Please arrive at 9:30 for Mass.
