

Doris was a lifelong resident of the Rochester and Rochester Hills, Michigan area, where she spent her life surrounded by family and familiar places she loved.
Though naturally shy, Doris had a deep love for her family that showed in everything she did. She was the beloved wife of Irving Sova, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. She is survived by both her husband and children. She was a devoted mother to Debbi, DeAnne, Wende, and Wesley (Alicia), and a proud grandmother to Brendan, London, Hunter, and Miranda, who brought her endless joy.
She is also survived by her brother, Dale, along with many loved ones who will miss her dearly. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Ruth Austin, and her brothers, David and Dennis.
Doris had a gentle soul and found comfort in life’s simple pleasures. She loved flowers, listening to country music, and attending concerts. She also cherished her sweet old dog, Ares, who was a constant source of companionship and comfort.
Doris will be remembered for her quiet strength, loving heart, and the deep devotion she had for her family and those closest to her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI. Burial will follow at Christian Memorial Gardens.
