

Edward E. Hopper, of Rochester Hills, MI, died Sunday, January 25, one day before his 94th birthday. He was born January 26, 1921 in Birmingham, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward E. Hopper Sr. and Alice Berlyn Babcock Hopper, by his wife Helen Ann Hopper, by his son Steven E. Hopper, and by his brother Robert S. Hopper. He is survived by a daughter Jane Hopper Duley and her husband George Duley, grand-children Marla Wonboy and Nathan Wonboy, step-sons John Swain and Brian Swain and step-daughter Victoria Blincow.
Edward Hopper was a World War 2 veteran and served in the Air Corps as a bomber pilot. He also served in the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War. He graduated from Birmingham High School, class of 1938, and from General Motors Institute Of Technology, class of 1942. He was a Vice President of Sales in the automotive international machine tool industry. In this capacity, he lived in Torino, Italy for 5 years and in London, England for several years.
He had a love for riding his horses and was a member of the Metamora Hunt Club and served as their treasurer. He and his wife were residents of Sanctuary at Bellbrook in Rochester Hills, MI, since 2006. They enjoyed the social life with many friends and staff members.
