Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Kukuk) Fritts, 91, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Barbara (Timothy) Fritts Trammel, Helen (Richard) Fritts Lewis, and Russell (Danielle) Fritts; caring grandmother of Marcus (Catherine) Trammel, Kristina (Peter) Plociniak, Harlie and Brooke Bostelman; great-grandmother of Natalie, Addison, Jax, and Tyler Trammel, and Sarah and Samantha Plociniak; sister of Joan (Kukuk) McCarthy. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 70 years, James Fritts; her parents, John and Ruby (Reno) Kukuk; her brothers, Robert, James, and John Patrick Kukuk; and great-grandson Samuel Plociniak. Betty was born in Auburn Heights, Michigan on June 1, 1929. She married James “Jay” Fritts on April 30, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Auburn Heights, Michigan. Betty and Jay raised their family in Rochester Hills. Betty worked for General Motors before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was an active participant in Stiles School activities and events, even serving as a PTO president for several years. Betty loved to crochet and sew. She would donate many of the items she made to local charities and hospitals for over 35 years. Betty’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 1-4 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI. Due to the COVID Restrictions in place, there will be a private funeral service for the family following the conclusion of visitation at 4 PM.
