Ernest is survived by his children Ernie (Amy) Young and Michelle (Steve) Howard; grandchildren Lilah Kaye and Ethan; and brothers and sisters Roger (Virginia) Young, Marie Young-Kinville, Willard Willis, Carol Willis, Jerry Willis and Jane Willis; and several nieces and nephews.
Ernest was born the son of Roger and Sophie (Bulley) Young on Sugar Island, Michigan on September 18, 1941. Ernie was a proud Native American Indian from the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He owned and operated Special Plastic Products from 1972 – 1998. He was an excellent pool player and avid golfer. He spent most of the later years of his life with his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church located at 1550 Walton Boulevard in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
