Esther Martha DeMaeght Cloft

Esther Martha Cloft, 94, of Rochester Hills passed away March 8, 2023. She was born in Mt. Clemens, MI on Dec. 25, 1928. Esther graduated from St. Mary’s High School at age 16. She was married to Kenneth Cloft on May 12, 1962. Esther liked living a simple life, spending much of it raising her children and caring for others. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grand-children. She is survived by her children Sue (Jay) Butala, Harry (Sherry) Cloft, and Joe Cloft, as well as her grandchildren Kenneth (Rachel) Cloft, Rachel Butala, Audrey Cloft and Chaewon Cloft. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Cloft, parents Henry and Eugenie DeMaeght and siblings Julius DeMaeght and Madeline (Ervin) Hire. Visitation will be at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, MI March 13, 2023 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral mass will be March 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clinton Township, MI.
