Florence Babbish

Florence Victoria Babbish, born October 20th, 1942 passed away on March 1st, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her devoted husband, Robert J. Babbish and loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Helen Polek (Wisniewski), brother Edward, sister Virginia and her first husband Jacob Michael Szydlowski.

She was an accomplished business woman who was also heavily involved in community outreach. Her sense of humor was amazing as was her love of music and dance. She loved to spend time in Florida walking on the beach and going to flea-markets. She cherished her longstanding circle of friends and sure loved to entertain...her parties were second to none!

Florence leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons Michael (Jane), Paul and Glen (Sonya) Szydlowski; sisters Carol Dunleavy and Christal Lewandowski. Also her doting grandchildren, Lea (Drake) Gheta; Hanna, Dale, Leanne and Wade Szydlowski; great-grandchildren Abigale and Chase Gheta, along with many other family and friends. She will surely be missed!!

Visiting hours have been arranged for Sunday, March 9th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM scripture service at the Pixley Funeral Home,

322 W. University Drive, Rochester.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM, Monday, March 10, 2025 at St.Mary of the Hills Church, 2675 John R. Rd., Rochester Hills.

Florence’s family will greet guests at 8:30 AM at the church.
