James “Jim” V. Madson, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 89. He was born in Highland, Michigan on March 31, 1932. Jim attended Clawson High School in his youth. He married his beloved wife Mary (nee Steward) Madson on January 19, 1963. Jim worked at National Twist Drill as a Centerless Grinder. He was a devout member of St. John Lutheran Church. Jim was a member of the Rochester Lions Club and a lifetime member of American Legion Post #172. He was a skilled woodworker, building hundreds of clocks over his lifetime. He was also known to enjoy bowling and golf.
He is survived by his wife Mary Madson, daughter Linda Madson, sister-in-law Pat Madson, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Samuel Madson, sister Barbara Moore, parents Vern and Charlotte (nee Rost) Madson, daughter Cheryl Madson, and daughter Teri Playford.
Jim's visitation will take place on November 20, 2021 from 10 AM to 11 AM with a funeral service at 11 AM at Pixley Funeral Home. Burial will take place following the service at Mount Avon Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan.
Masks will be required for the service.
