Justine Anne Murphy-Reale

She led a life marked by a sharp wit, creative endeavors, unmatched organizational skills, resilience, and strength.

Justine was extremely creative and organized like no one else, and she loved her crafts. She was a master on the sewing machine and enjoyed floral arranging and painting. She took great pride in her home and enjoyed daily exercise, crossword puzzles, shopping, and, in her later years, bingo and jigsaws.

Justine is survived by her children: her son Stephen Murphy and his wife Pam; her son Michael Murphy and his wife Pam; her daughter Kristin Bowman and her husband Bill; her son David Murphy; and her grandchildren Leigh (Greg), Brittany, Stephen, Caitlin (Gianni), Erin, MacLain, and James; great-grandsons Austin, Wyatt, and Aidan; and her dear friend Harry.

Justine was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Henry Uniatowski, and siblings Tina and Dennis; her first husband, James Murphy, with whom she shared 23 years and was the father of her children; her second husband, Ken Plaskey, who died of cancer after six months of marriage; and her third husband, Salvatore Reale, with whom she spent 28 years and expanded her family to include his children Dennis (Laura), Chris (Craig), and Kevin (Jan), and grandchildren Chase, Matthew, Warren, Leah, and Kevin; and great-grandchildren.

There will be a life celebration luncheon for family and friends on Friday November 22, 2024 at noon, with a blessing at 12:30pm, at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made in Justine’s honor to Visiting Angels of Sterling Heights. Envelopes will be available at the luncheon.
