Beloved mother of Jennifer Cordon (Michael) Thor and Theresa Cordon; loving grandmother of Victoria and Jacob; sister of Kenneth (Barbara) Orlich; caring aunt to many nieces and nephews including Ken and Karen; dear to many cousins; and known as the matriarch to the Kobaks. Dog mom to Gabi who gave her so much joy.
Kathy was born the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Ostrowski) Orlich in Detroit, Michigan on January 21st, 1944. She graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School in Detroit and raised her family with Terrence Cordon in Canton, Michigan.
Kathy loved to travel and spend time with her family. She took cruises to the Mediterranean and the Caribbean seas. She enjoyed her card club friends and cross stitching items for others. She especially loved being a grandmother to her two “sunshines”.
Kathy’s family will welcome all for a visitation on Thursday August 16, 2018 from 3 - 8pm, with a Rosary at 7pm and on Friday from 11:30am until the time of funeral service at 12:00pm (noon) at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kathy's honor to the University of Michigan-Dearborn Scholarship Endowment Fund in her name (to be established). Envelopes will be available at Pixley Funeral Home.
