Kathy is the beloved mother of Kristin (Ken) McPherson and Scott (Amy) Hain; loving grandmother of Jacob Kenneth, Maggie Elizabeth, Henry Hain, and Mary Helen McPherson, and Kathleen Ruth and Samuel Scott Hain; and sister of Leila (Neil) Klaiss. She was predeceased by her parents Elliot “E.J” and Helen (Parks) Noah and granddaughter Hannah Brooks Hain.
Kathy was born in Jackson, Michigan on September 21, 1943. She graduated from Charlotte High School 1961 and attended Central Michigan University. Kathy met her future husband Tony Hain at CMU and they were married on December 17, 1966 in Charlotte. Kathy and Tony raised their family in Flushing then Rochester Michigan. Kathy was in real estate for 17 years with Weir, Manuel, Synder, and Reinke.
Kathy was a member of the Junior League of Flint, the Meadowbrook Women's Club, and the Meadow Brook Theatre Guild. She was a founder of the Women's Fund, which is a part of the Rochester Community Foundation. She also contributed to the local 100 Women's Fund. Known for her caring attitude and charismatic personality, Kathy was beloved by her family, a multitude of friends, and so many other individuals whose lives she touched over the years. She enjoyed reading and discussing novels with her friends, cooking and entertaining in style, home decorating, traveling to various European countries and being of service to others.
Kathy’s family will receive guests on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 10:30am until the time of funeral service at 11am at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, located at 620 Romeo St. in Rochester, Michigan. A luncheon in Kathy’s honor will be held at Great Oaks Country Club immediately following the service.
