

Linda Elizabeth (Wagner) Severance, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 85. Linda, daughter of Jane and Philip Harrison was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 17, 1939. She graduated from Rochester High School, class of 1956. In 1958, Linda enrolled in the Harper Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit. In Detroit, Linda met her husband of 25 years, David Wagner; they married and started their family in Rochester, Michigan, moved to California briefly, finally raising their 4 children in Lansing, Michigan.
Her early registered nurse training was the foundation for a lifetime career in the profession. Specializing in OR, she was a preferred surgical nurse for a pediatric heart specialist in Lansing, Michigan. She was a travel nurse, taking her to California and Florida in the 80’s. She held staff positions as an operating room registered nurse in Florida & Michigan until her retirement. Linda also enjoyed working at Dearborn’s Greenfield Village as a docent at the Noah Webster house and at other areas in the village.
Linda married Karl Severance in 1992. Splitting her retirement years between Naples, Florida and Michigan. Linda was an avid pet lover, loved to travel, go to the beach, watch sunsets, and enjoyed time visiting with her family and grandchildren.
She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, attending parishes in Lansing, Dearborn, Naples and Rochester Hills.
Linda is survived by her children Jeffrey Wagner, Wendy Wagner, Paul (Erin) Wagner, and Sarah (Matt) Cantu; grandchildren Amber (Chad) Cates, Eric (Beth) Winkler, Danielle (Jeff) Tencate, Dylan Winkler, Oscar Cantu, Jonah Cantu, Brittany Wagner, Brian Wagner, Israel Wagner, Davan Wagner, Moses Wagner & Elisha Wagner; great-grandchildren Alexa, Olivia, Kane, Leila, Charlie, and Corrina. She is also survived by her brother David (Judy) Szczesny.
Linda is predeceased by her husband Karl Severance, her parents, her stepfather Albert Szczesny and sister Celia Szczesny.
A funeral mass will be held on March 15, 2025, at St. Irenaeus in Rochester Hills at 11 AM. A graveside service will be held after at Mt. Avon Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan.
