Lisa Marie Morrison-Huhman, age 55, of Rochester Hills, was born November 28, 1969 and passed away August 22, 2025. Beloved wife of Todd Huhman. Loving daughter of Barbara and the late Frederick Morrison. Dear sister of Fred (Haley) Morrison and Steve (Mary) Morrison. Proud aunt of Alex, Marco, and Roman Morrison. Lisa will be missed by numerous other family members and friends.
Lisa was born at the dawn of the 1970’s, and like all others of that time was subject to the unique personal and family photos taken during that decade. Unfortunately, The Dorothy Hamill Haircut and horned rim glasses seemed popular then. Growing up chasing her older brother and managing her younger brother along, she enjoyed a regular and fun childhood, including developing a fear of water due to the movie “Jaws”, once enduring a significant black eye due to an unfortunate accident with a plastic Whiffle Ball Bat, and was forced to attend too many ungodly boring sports banquets always serving chicken cacciatore.
Like her siblings, she hit the jackpot with parents who made sure of the best childhood possible. Dad provided a safe home, and Mom filled it with love and popular furniture of those times.
Eventually attending Girls Catholic High School in the Detroit area during the 1980’s, of course she became a Rocker and enjoyed those formative years conducting various forms of innocent mischief and fun. It was also during this period that she first connected with a group of girl friends who still remain to this day: a collection of proud, loyal, and beautiful women.
Her professional working years were the continuation of a life where she chose to live on her terms, ranging from managing the family business to hair styling to home healthcare aide services. Always a responsible and compassionate friend and service provider, with client testimonials pouring in even as this tribute is being written, she did struggle with keeping her cars clean and serviced regularly.
Life adventures included unsafe travel to the Bahamas and Mexico, much more safe travel to Isle Royale NP (Michigan) and family obligation travel (moving support) to the states of California and Washington.
Also, it was in her 30’s that she first met Todd Huhman, who would become the love of her life, Marrying in 2023.
For the last 15 years, Lisa had a sidekick of enormous influence and love: Sammy. A 17-pound Jack Russell Terrier. Sammy was the terror of those who first met him but would grow to love you and be sweet, once he accepted you. Sammy was Lisa’s delight, gifted to her upon her first cancer diagnosis in 2010, which she beat with enormous will power and love. Sammy passed in 2025 and now they are certainly on a walk outside, somewhere.
Those who knew Lisa will remember her for her infectious smile and laughter, stern and loving sense of humor, and extreme loyalty to those she loved. She will be missed, always.
Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester.
