Loraine June Steward

Beloved mother of Fern (Joel) Beasley and Elaina Steward, the late Carol Stewart and the late Susan Cozart; dear grandmother of Stephanie (Jeff) Festian, Bill (Jennifer) Swor, Jeremy Beasley, Alicia (Phil) Dennings, Matthew Beasley, and Emily (Aaron) VanDuinen; grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Loraine was predeceased by her husband Charles Leon Steward; parents Harold Schofield and Fern (Parsell) Lassen; and sisters Dona Farley and Onnalee Reynolds.

Loraine was born in Flint, Michigan on June 12, 1930. She graduated from Rochester High School. Loraine married Leon Steward on June 19, 1948. She and Leon raised their family in Rochester Hills. Loraine was a realtor for Weir Manual Snyder & Ranke Realtors. She attended First Congregational Church and was a past member of the Metropolitan Club.

Loraine loved to Clog dance.

Loraine’s family will receive all for a memorial gathering on Saturday February 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made in Loraine’s honor to United Hospice of Marlette. Envelopes will be provided at Pixley Funeral Home.
