M. Jeanette Powell

Powell, M. Jeanette., age 82, of White Lake, MI passed away on August 1, 2015. She was born in Dyer, TN on June 24, 1933. Jeanette married Bennie Powell on July 15, 1950. Bennie preceded her in death on May 16, 2015. They were blessed with three children, Sherry P. (John Bollan) Hinsperger, Greg (Kristie) Powell, and Debbie P. Hand.

Jeanette retired from Neisner’s Department Store following 20 years of service. She had a passion for bowling, having been on several bowling league teams. She also enjoyed arts & crafts, going to the casino, fishing, and traveling. Jeanette was a great organizer of activities, and had established a newsletter in the Florida retirement community she lived in. She was called a “happy go lucky lady with a Big Smile”. She loved her family and truly loved life. Jeanette will be greatly missed.

She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ashleigh, Barron, Karrie, and Adam. Great grandchildren; Tyler, Zackary, Mackenzie, Savanna, Juliana, Olivia, Gunnar, Javier, and Keelan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2015 from 10am until the time of service at 11am at PIXLEY Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr. Rochester, MI 48307.
