Marti was born the daughter of Rosemary and Harold Wood on January 30, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. She attended St. Brigid grade school and Immaculata High School. Marti graduated in 1960 from Immaculata and met her husband, Paul J. Reiz that fall. Marti was married four years later in September 1964. Paul and Marti had two children together and lived in Rochester and Rochester Hills for over 40 years.
Later in life, Marti worked with in the Rochester Community School system, where she cared for elementary students in the district’s before- and after-school program. She had a natural gift for connecting with children, and she poured her patience, warmth, and joy into every child she met. Her love for children was one of the defining qualities of her life. Marti also deeply valued her friendships. She treasured the people in her life, nurturing long-lasting bonds with kindness, loyalty, and an open heart.
Marti is survived by her children Paul Reiz and Lisa (Sean) Case along with her brother Larry Wood. She was predeceased by her parents.
A Catholic Service of Committal will be held on Saturday December 6, 2025, at 11am at Guardian Angel Cemetery, in the mausoleum, located at 4701 N. Rochester Road in Oakland Township Michigan.
