
SHOTWELL, Max C., age 85, of Mission, TX, formerly of White Lake and Rochester, passed away July 25, 2011, with his loving wife at his side. Max was born in Lake Orion on March 23, 1926, to the late Otis and Ruth (Kilgore) Shotwell, but was raised on the family farm in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School. Max began his career in car sales with Kaverly Lincoln-Mercury in downtown Rochester and then moved to Avon Lincoln-Mercury on Rochester Road where he was the Sales Manager, retiring after 26 years of service. He also was a charter member of the Rochester Elks Club, B.P.O.E. #2225. He was the beloved husband of Marion, his wife of 23 years , and Barbara, who preceded him in death in 1985. Father of Chris Shotwell of Ewing, KY and Larry Shotwell of Valparaiso, IN. He is also survived by Marion’s children Chris Canfield of Wolverine Lake, Michelle (Steve) Coxeter of Bloomington, IN and Monty (Janet) Canfield of Bedford, IN. Also surviving Max are his grandchildren Brice & Montgomery Shotwell, Christal (Ryan) Shaul, Clinton (Sara) Canfield, Talon & Logan Coxeter and Suzanna & Colton Canfield. He and Marion were also blessed with their great-grandchildren Kadin, Alexcksadis and Justice Shaul as well as Miakoda, Kaya and Jaci Canfield. Brother of Chuck (Juanita) Shotwell, Floyd (Sheryl) Shotwell and the late Robert and Al Shotwell. Brother-in-law of Jan. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.
