Hi Janine and Grace,

Real sorry to hear about Mike.  I'm shocked.   During our soccer years, I would always look forward to talk to Mike about our soccer team and fantasy football.   He would make me laugh all the time!   He was so fun to hang around.   I remember hanging out in the soccer "bubble" with Mike and Brett with one eye on watching the girl's soccer game and one eye on a NFL game.

I worked with Mike in Toledo.  I always enjoyed talking with him and working through problems.  Mike had a different approach to solving problems.  He was a genius tying Cost Deployment to the shop floor.

Above all, Mike was genuine.  A good person with good karma.  He inspired everyone with his can do attitude.

Mike was a friend of mine. We carpooled for 3+ Year’s to FCA Toledo Assembly Complex from 4:30am and heading back home around 7pm every night. We visited his childhood home, we picked up El Charros on the way home, we spoke of of families and our childhoods. Mike, Janine, and family enjoyed the Dream Cruise parties, Super Bowl Parties, and was in both the Baseball and Football Fantasy Leagues. He was very good; as stated earlier. God bless his family Janine, Ryan, Emma, Grace. I will miss my friend.

Dear Janine and family, my heart breaks for all of you . Mike was such a wonderful guy  whom we always enjoyed sharing fun times at Lisa and Tony's. He will truly be missed  by all who new him. He always showed    o wonderful husband ,father ,friend  and be just a good guy to be around.

I remember the  first time that Janine  and Mike met after we played volleyball together.  Mike was talking with us and his tooth fell out onto the table.  He stopped picked it up and kept talking.  I was like... what just happened, lol.  I’m so glad  that the two of you found each other and  continued to share so many wonderful wacky memories together,  these  will never be forgotten.❤️. Dear Janine, Ryan, Emma and Grace

I worked for Mike (your dad) for many years in Windsor and was so shocked and very saddened to hear of his passing. 

Mike was a wonderful person, so full of life, always upbeat and so much fun to work with. He marched to his own beat and that's what we loved about him. I knew all of you by name even though we never had a chance to meet. Mike loved to talk about everything his family was up to; school, sports, whatever was happening at home.....he was so proud of all of you.

I hadn't spoken to Mike in a while but I can still hear his laugh and see his great smile. I'm glad I was lucky enough to have met him and hope you can find solace in knowing what a great and kind person he was. 

I am extremely grateful and blessed to have a friend like Mike for 50 years.  We shared many good times and experiences, including neighborhood sports and games, bowling teams, shared paper routes, coaching softball, and working in cement construction with my dad.  My earliest favorite memory was a carnival that Mike, his twin Monte, and I held in the neighborhood for MDA.  The Handley brothers provided all of the creativity. 

I will remember Mike as a loyal, giving, hard-working man with a great sense of humor, often being funny unintentionally. Mike was passionate about everything that he did, even reading the Sunday newspaper.  I will continue to respect the way he overcame many obstacles to become a loving and dedicated husband and father with a successful career.

Janine, Ryan, Emma, and Grace, your husband / father was a very special individual.  He was very proud of all of you and your accomplishments.  I will miss my friend Mike dearly and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers forever.

Michael was a brother but like a son too, because of our age differences.  He was always fun and full of laughter throughout the years.    We did not spend a lot of time together as older adults, but he has always been in my heart. Our mother taught us the value of working hard and the importance of family.   He has been very successful in both endeavors.  He loved his wife Janine and the children so much and was always talking about their accomplishments.  You will live in my heart and memories forever!

Mike...you will always be in my heart.  I loved you like a brother and always will.  You were a hard working guy!  And gave everything you had to your family.  Thank you for sharing your childern with me.  I will cherish my memories with them and with you. You made my sister happy and filled her life with love.  Rest in peace you sweet man.


I worked for Mike when he was the controller in Toledo. He was the most creative, outside the box thinker, and innovative person I ever worked with. His laughter and humor made the long work days somehow feel shorter. He often shared many stories of his family, and it was obvious how much he loved and enjoyed spending time with them. My heartfelt prayers go out to his family during this very difficult time. May he rest in peace.

It was always a great pleasure golfing with Mike.
He always had plenty of laughs to share.
He will be greatly missed.

I am so deeply saddened to hear about Mike’s passing. I worked for Mike and with him for many years at Chrysler. Although work was often stressful, Mike always had a way of breaking through the stress and making us all laugh. He made everyone around him feel valued and went out of his way to help anyone.

Mike was as genuine as they come and was such a positive person to be around. Monday mornings were the best part of my week because Mike would always have great stories to tell about his weekend. It was obvious how much he loved Janine and the kids as he was always talking about them. 

Mike’s life was far too short, but he made a big impact in the lives of all who were lucky enough to have met him. The joy Mike brought to our lives will not be forgotten.

I met Mike this summer as we played a handful of rounds of golf together.  He always showed up a minute or two before our tee time (he lived very close to Blackheath Golf Course) and, despite barely having time to pay let alone practice, he somehow always hit a perfect shot on the first tee.  He was so much fun to be around I was going to ask him to come on our annual fall golf trip, but ...

He talked about his family a lot while we played, and always glowingly.  My deepest sympathies to the entire Handley family.  You'll be in my morning prayers.

I was fortunate to be able Mike last golf season as he and I were partners for 2020, that being said last thing I said to mike was it was a pleasure to be your partner & friend see you soon 😢❤️

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Mike over the past 10 years and have created many fond memories with him.  I’ll never forget when Mike first came to Warren Stamping.. Mike was a “Cost Deployment Guru” coming from
Windsor Assembly.  At the time, my “CD” knowledge was weak to say it politely.  After working a regular day, Mike would take some time in his evenings to help coach and teach me about matrices, deployments and general operational finance.  At times when I wasn’t picking up the information, Mike was always patient and always made me laugh with some of his analogies to help me understand. As I got to know Mike, I learned how much Mike loved his family and how important they were to him. He relished in telling vacation stories and how proud he was of his children.  Mike will surely be missed.  God bless you Mike and my sincere condolences to his family.

To my sweet Janine.  I am so sorry for you and your family and send my Prayers and Love to you.  Words can not express how my heart aches with you.  Please know our Father in Heaven weeps with you.  He Loves you and your family so much.  He walks with you, beside you, and all around you.  I am here and will continue to Love you through this.

I'm so sorry for Mike's family and friends.  I've known Mike for 8 years. We worked and golfed together. I loved golfing and playing euchre with him these past years. He had a passion for everything he did and was always positive and full of fun. I will really miss his wit and friendship.
