Mike Meinhardt

Mike graduated from Lawrence Technological University and had a successful career in Detroit as an Architect for the Detroit Medical Center and Oakwood Hospital. Mike was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996, and was required to take a Medical Disability leave in 2001. Mike had taught all those who knew him how to be thankful for what one has, to never give up even though there does not seem to be any hope, and how to be gracious. Even in his last days Mike did not lose his wit and sense of humor.

Mike is survived by his parents, Robert and Joyce Meinhardt, partner John Comperchio, sister Karen Benson, brother in law Greg, nephew Andrew, and nieces Nicole and Jennifer. Mike, John and the family give thanks to Dorinda Sherman-Mowatt for her support and friendship over the years, and Reverend George Bozanich from Trinity – St Marks United Church of Christ, Detroit for his support and comfort.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, January 14th, 2017 from 1-4 pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI.
