Nancy Lee Gamalski

Nancy Lee Gamalski (Gencur), a light in this world to all who had the opportunity to know her, entered into eternal life on March 19, 2017. Loving wife to Thomas for 59 years. Devoted mother to Andrew (Lou), Jon (Valerie), James, Nancy, and Andrea. Cherished Grandmother to Grant (Cayla), Kimberly(John), Lauren, Jason, Jacob, and Ayla. Dear Great-Grandmother to Juniper and Charlotte. Born the daughter of Andrew and Marie Gencur (Koukol) on May 13, 1935 in Detroit, Nancy graduated Detroit Mercy High School. She then earned her Bachelors of Science, summa cum laude from Mercy College. Nancy married Thomas Gamalski on June 22, 1957 and raised her family first in Warren and later Rochester Hills. She was an active member of St. Irenaeus parish for many years, teaching catechism, lecturing, and singing in the choir. Nancy enjoyed classic movies, the arts and high fashion. She looked forward to her annual meeting with her friends from Mercy High. She loved traveling and being with her family and friends. Visitation Wednesday 22nd, 2-8pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive, Rochester. Instate Thursday, 9:30am until Mass at 10am at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd., Rochester Hills.
