

Noreen was born April 14, 1952, in Highland Park, MI, to C. Daniel and Elisa Mooneyham, and raised in Warren. She was a 1970 National Honor Society graduate of Fitzgerald High School. After graduation, Noreen married her high school sweetheart Richard Gray on February 5, 1971. They welcomed their son Brian in 1974, and made their home in Clinton Township and Rochester, before eventually resettling in Brighton.
Along with Richard, Noreen loved hosting family and friends at their cottages in the Upper Peninsula, creating wonderful family memories. As a devout Christian, Noreen also enjoyed Bible Study and attending worship - and always made room for Motown music!
Noreen K. Gray (nee Mooneyham), 73 years old of Brighton, MI, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, with her devoted husband of 55 years by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, C. Daniel and Elisa Mooneyham, in-laws John Hayden and Charlsie Gray, sister-in-law Jeanette (nee Gray) and her husband Lyman Jump.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard H. Gray; son Brian D. Gray (Margaret, Jack) of Cumming, GA; brother Gary Mooneyham (Cynthia) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister Janet Mooneyham (Harold Woodhall) of Venice, FL, brother-in-law Steven Gray (the late Kathie) of Boca Raton, FL; and sister-in-law Nancy Mooneyham. Also surviving are her beloved nieces and nephews Lisa Garr (Dan); David Mooneyham (Kelley); Amy Klinkenberger (Alan); David Jump (Julie); Ruth Ann Jump (Larry) Michael Jump (Lenore), Steve Gray, Sarah Gray, as well as their extended families. Noreen is also survived by cousins from the Mooneyham and Zaccardelli families.
Noreen will always be remembered for her love of her family, beautiful smile, generosity, Christian faith, and fantastic sense of humor.
In her final days, she was surrounded by many loving family members by whom she will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, from 3pm-7pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 11am (lnstate 10am) at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Van Hoosen Jones Stoney Creek Cemetery in Rochester.
