Peggy Sue Remley, 58, originally of Waterford, Michigan, died in Noblesville, Indiana on January 17, 2025
She was born in Pontiac, Michigan in 1966 to William and Betty Carol Remley. Peggy Sue graduated from the Waterford Training Institute, then considered herself to be “retired.”
She was a very happy person who never met a stranger and made friends instantly. She’ll be remembered for her quick, bright smiles and energetic waves when spotting friends and family, and for her complete lack of a “poker face” when playing UNO, one of her favorite games. Throughout her life she was always surrounded by incredibly kind, caring, and loving family, friends, and caregivers who watched out for her and really enriched her life. She loved traveling to visit friends and family and to sightsee, including trips to Maine, Tennessee, Florida, California, Alaska, and Hawaii. She attended the Sylvan Lake Church of Christ until it closed, then attended the Auburn Hills Church of Christ until relocating to the Indianapolis area to be near her brothers after her parents’ deaths. In Indianapolis she enjoyed Saturdays with her family going bowling, out to lunch, and getting manicures.
Peggy Sue was preceded in death by her parents William and Betty Carol Remley, and is survived by her brothers Jeff Remley and Mike Remley, sister-in-law Katie Remley, nephew Kevin Remley, and nieces Kristen Remley and Emma Cook.
Peggy Sue will be buried next to her parents at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Donations to local Special Olympics programs or other organizations that support those with Down Syndrome and other disabilities would be greatly appreciated.
