Ray was a very nice guy and a pleasure to work with.  He was certainly an expert on wiper systems.

I met Ray as a supplier at Chrysler and we became good friends.  Ray was a good guy in all aspects.  I'll always remember his story playing Chicago area high school football against Dick Butkus.  Sorry that I missed his service.

Sorry to hear Ray has passed away.  We sat across from each other many years at the Tech Center. We used to meet every week at the BK and them put in a few walking miles at the park for exercise.  He will be missed.

Dear Sandy and Carrie,
 Surprisingly Bob really didn't get to know Ray during their working lives at Chrysler as they were working in different department. He really got to know Ray when he was invited to join a group of retired Chrysler engineers for monthly luncheons.
 We loved Ray's wealth of historical information due to his love of genealogy and enjoyed Ray's many emails about the happenings in the auto industry, as well as his gentle sense of humor. We will miss him very much.
 We thought he was a delightful, warm and gentle man, a good man.
 Dianne met Sandy at the wives' gatherings on the same luncheon days, sharing many laughs. The Aurands have become dear friends ever since.
 So it is with much sadness we learned that Ray had gone ahead of us.
 We hope that Sandy and Carrie's memories of Ray will comfort them and that the good Lord will surround them with His love and support through this difficult time.

    I had the pleasure of working with Ray many years ago at Chrysler in the Wiper Lab.  He is fondly remembered for his gentle and professional manner.  Most of all is was kind to associates, co-workers and all he came in contact with.  Rest in Peace my friend.

Ray is someone with whom I've enjoyed a friendship for more than 60 years, because we first met in grammar school (Hurley in Chicago) in either 6th or 7th grade. That friendship continued through High School at Lindblom. We lost track of one another after high school, but did reconnect at our 50 year reunion in 2010. Since then we've kept in touch via e-mail. He was a great guy and someone who was very bright, honest and caring. I consider myself lucky to have known him. To his wife, daughter, sister and all his closest friends, please accept my most sincere condolences. The world today can ill afford losing folks like Ray. I know he is in a very good place now.

We are so sorry for your loss, Sandy and Carrie. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss the lunches and companionship with Ray and Sandy, and John will miss the long bicycle rides with Ray.

Ray was one of my roommates at WMU and a fellow engineering student. A friendship was started there that survived 50 years, sometimes over great geographical distances. We maintained touch through visits, by phone and emails, sharing a common interest in automotive technology and military history. Our wives also became good friends and we always enjoyed getting together and sharing experiences. Ray will be greatly missed but will live on in our memories.
