Ryan Michael Smith

Ryan Michael Smith, age 36, of Ortonville, passed away on August 31, 2021. He was born in Rochester Hills on January 10, 1985. Ryan was married to Margaret Campbell on July 4, 2015 and split his time between Michigan and Scotland over the last 6 years. He worked various jobs as a CNC operator, landscaping, demolition, and warehouse work. Ryan always had a passion for fishing, Liverpool soccer, his dogs Heskey and Virgil, spending time with his nephew, Lane, whenever possible and FaceTiming with Taylor and Amy.

He is survived by his parents, Steve and Gloria; brother Jeremy (Alyssa) Smith and nephew, Lane; sister, Stephanie (Billy) Stephenson; wife, Margaret Campbell and step-daughters, Taylor and Amy; and grandparents Lawrence and Viola Smith and Gordon Scholz. Ryan was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Smith and his grandmother, Gertrude Scholz.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 2:30-5 PM & 6-9 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. A Memorial Service will be held on September 11, 2021 at 12 NOON, with gathering beginning at 11 AM, at St. John Lutheran Church, 1011 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307.
