Shirley Mae Pompilius, age 80, of Rochester Hills, died Friday, January 23, 2015. Shirley was born on July 13, 1934 in Detroit. For 59 years, Shirley was the devoted wife of Vincent Pompilius whom she married on May 14, 1955. She is the loving Mom of Sandy (Larry) Balone, Shelly Lalla, Sharon (Rob) Bowlby, Paul (Michele) Pompilius. Dear Grandma of Larry (Jessica) Balone, Stephen (Ashley) Balone, Jeffrey Bowlby, Jamie Bowlby, Christopher (Julia) Lalla, Chase Lalla, Adam Pompilius and Ryan Pompilius. Meemo to Vincent and Michael Balone. Shirley was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R. Road, Rochester Hills. Fr. Stanly Ulman, celebrant. Mrs. Pompilius will lie in state at the church at 10 a.m. Interment at VanHoosen Jones Cemetery. The family will also receive friends Sunday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W.
