Thao Pham, age 55, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Thao was born in Qui Nhon, Vietnam to Thuy Nguyen and Novan Pham on September 29, 1968. She graduated from Jersey Village High School and applied herself at the University of Texas and Des Moines University to earn a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Thao helped heal those in her community at Fraser Family Practice.
Thao and her beloved husband, Evan Nixon, were married on August 25, 2005 and were blessed with twins, Max and Marissa, in 2009. She enjoyed attending Marissa’s dance events through Shannon Irish Dance Academy and Max’s athletic events at Adams High School.
Thao was the rare combination of both scientific and artistic talents; she enjoyed calligraphy, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and all types of crafts. Unafraid of adventure, she loved to travel, in particular to Grand Cayman and Paris. She also found joy in shopping and enjoyed good food.
Thao is survived by her husband Evan Nixon; her children Max and Marissa; her father Novan Pham; her mother Thuy Nguyen; her siblings Trinh Pham, Huy Pham, Lauren Pham Berkan, Hoang Pham, and Cathy York; 10 nieces and nephews; her father-in-law Les Nixon and mother-in-law Michele Nixon; her sister-in-law Bryn Hummel; and her beloved golden doodle Maggie.
