Theresa Mlynarek

Born on December 5, 1994, to Victor and Nancy Floyd, Theresa was a 2013 graduate of Adams High School. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University.

Theresa dedicated her career to helping children as a speech pathologist at Blanche Sims Elementary School in Lake Orion. She was a proud and passionate member of the school community, where her dedication, kindness, and love for her students left a lasting impression.

On October 9, 2021, she married the love of her life, Adam Mlynarek, and together they welcomed their greatest joy, baby Jack Robert. Theresa cherished every moment as a wife and mother, filling their home with love, laughter, and warmth.

She was a Disney enthusiast, an avid reader, and loved to travel. Whether walking with her family and dogs, spending time by the lake, or sharing a good book, Theresa found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Her witty personality, radiant smile, and infectious joy lit up every room and touched everyone she met.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Adam Mlynarek, and their son, Jack Robert; her parents, Victor and Nancy Floyd; her brother, Thomas Floyd; her sister, Margaret Floyd; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Robert and Theresa Aitken.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood Ave, Rochester, MI 48307. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.
