Thomas Leslie Shankster, age 82, of Rochester Hills, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Thomas was born on October 13, 1934 in Detroit, son of the late Alvin and Mary (Korth) Shankster. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara. Thomas had retired from General Motors and was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting. He is survived by his children, Glenn Shankster, Stuart Shankster, Amy Shankster, the late Cindy Ronan and the late Less Shankster, and grandchildren Alyssa, Andrew, Steven and Matthew Shankster, and Megan, Barbara, and Allyson Ronan. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm.
