

Verne Dell Killiane, 89, of Rochester Hills, MI passed away May 31, 2016. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 15, 1926 to Dell and Hilda Killiane nee Saeger. Verne graduated from Bob Jones College Academy in 1944. He served his country in WWII as a hospital apprentice in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motor’s Fisher Body division. He attended Five Points Community Church and was a member of The Amateur Trap Shooting Association of America, the Birmingham Gun Club and American Legion Post 351. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Helen June (Atherton); four daughters - Martha (Mark) Gregg of Dexter, MI; Sharon Hubrich of Louisville, KY; Janine Lambrecht of Rochester, MI; and Kelly (Colin) Clark of Oak Lawn, IL; one granddaughter - Laura (Raul) Lambaren; three great grandchildren - Benjamin Collins, Jacob Collins and Hannah Lambaren of Louisville, KY; his sister - Nancy Killiane of Pahrump, NV and brother - Curtis Killiane of Burton, MI. He was proceeded in death by siblings; Mary J. Killiane, Louise Hunt and Larry Killiane. Visitation will be Friday, June 3rd from 5pm – 8pm at Pixley Funeral Home 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI. The funeral service will be at Pixley Funeral Home, Saturday, June 4th at 3pm. The family wishes to thank the staff of Crittenton Hospital and Gentiva Hospice for their thoughtful care.
