Walter Szych

Wladimer "Walter" Szych was born April 3, 1919, and died on November 10,, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Laverne Szych, and his three children: Ed Szych (Peggy), Linda Case (Tedd), and Catherine Englehart (Ron). Wladimer had six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years and lived in Warren for almost his entire life. He married the love of his life at 24. Wladimer will be remembered for many things: his love of gardening, carpentry, good food, reading, Wheel of Fortune, and sharp knives. Above all else he will be remembered for his undying and unconditional love of his wife and his Lord. He spent his life teaching, both through words and actions, of the love of Christ Jesus. He spent multiple decades as an Elder in the church and helped build the Centerline Church of Christ. Though he is gone from this earth, those who knew him know that he is not lost; he is merely waiting for the rest of us to join him in God’s eternal kingdom.
