

William J. Johnson, who was born on September 18, 1946, went home to the Lord on December 31, 2023. William grew up in Iron Mountain, Ml and graduated high school from St Lawrence Seminary, Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin. He then graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Ml.
At the beginning of his career he taught high school Spanish in Hillsdale, Ml, but then he discovered his true passion as a CPA. William moved and worked for a company in Toledo, then moved back to Michigan and worked for a couple different companies before becoming self-employed. He absolutely loved his clients and being a CPA!
He married his beloved wife Donna and they were together for 52 wonderful years. William was very active and loved racquetball, golf, travel, walking his dogs, going to live music concerts and plays, and really loved OU basketball. He also understood the benefit of being active in his community and for over 25 years was involved in the Auburn Hills Morning Optimist Club. He held the position of Secretary/Treasurer in the club for many years, President for several years, and the position of Lieutenant Governor. For a short time he was also a member of the Noon Optimist Club. William loved working with the Boys and Girls Club, and with all the fundraising projects. He will be remembered as very kind, warm hearted, and with a great sense of humor. Bill dearly loved his wife Donna, his brother James, his in-laws Sue, Toni, and Chris, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnar “Wink” and Aileen, and his siblings Ann, Mary, Ervin, and Robert.
