Carolyn was born on August 23,1949 in Geneva, NY, to her late parents, Fairystine Everett and Thaddeus Rucker, from that union she leaves behind several brothers and sisters. Carolyn was the second born of eight children and fraternal twin to Kathryn Richardson. Growing up Carol was head strong, outspoken, and the life of the party who marched to the beat of her own drum. Fear was a non factor to this woman, what Carol wanted to do she didn’t allow anything to stop her. She was adventurous, open minded and a trusted confidant to those whom she loved. Her favorite pastimes we’re listening to old school R&B, playing cards, and talking smack.
Carol attended Geneva High School, where she later became an aide in a nursing home. While shortly after becoming a mother to five children, four sons and one daughter, Mary Renee Richardson, who preceded her in death. Carol then moved to Rochester, NY, where she has been for over thirty years now and where she met and married the love of her life, Charles Brown. She then gave her life to God and joined Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Church along side her husband.
Carol was a devoted grandmother to her 16 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She poured love into the hearts of everyone she surrounded herself with and held on dearly to the relationships with her family and friends.
