Born in Schenectady, NY, on May 19, 1957, one of three triplet daughters of William and Patricia Wilcox. Cindy graduated from Monroe Community College with a degree in recreational leadership. She worked for many years at the Gates-Chili School District, dedicated to the students in her class as a teacher’s aide in special education.
Cindy was devout in her Catholic faith and had a great devotion to the Rosary. She and Steve were long-time members of St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church in North Chili. She enjoyed cooking for her family and reading, especially romance novels. She will be remembered for her spunky sense of humor, her stubborn willfulness, and her deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve; children, Matthew and Stephanie; grandchildren: Jacob, Annabelle, Adelina, Juniper, and Jack; sisters, Linda Green, Deb Mabry, Wendy Pospiech; many nieces and nephews; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Pat Wilcox, and father & mother-in-law, John and Dorothy Beiter.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4-7PM at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Christopher’s Church, 3350 Union St, North Chili, NY 14514. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Gates.
