Dorothy "Dot" M. Herndon, age 87, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis J. Davie, her son, Douglas Herndon, and her grandson, Joshua DePede.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kim Herndon King, and her husband, Lundy King; her son, Todd Herndon, and his wife, Takako; and daughter-in-law, Kim Percycoe-Herndon. She was a proud grandmother to Tristan Herndon, Lisa Herndon, Kailey DePede, Kary Herndon, Emily Herndon, and Ansel Herndon. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren, Colton Burk, Melvin Griffin Jr., and Caydence DePede, whom she cherished deeply.
Dorothy will be remembered for her green thumb and her passion for gardening, the joy she found in swimming in her pool, and her love for reading. She also shared a special bond with her cat, Tahiti, and enjoyed walking her granddog, Bentley. Her gentle spirit and the simple pleasures she cherished will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Dorothy will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00am, at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY.
