Rosa Maria was born in Madeira, Portugal on April 29, 1945. She lived a full life as a grandmother, mother, wife, and friend to many. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren who always felt like a breath of fresh air to her and never failed to put an instant smile on her face. She loved gardening and was able to make anything grow and bring any plant back to life like magic. She is best remembered for her kindness to others, especially children, and her strong Catholic faith. In her earlier years, Rosa was very involved at St. Theodore’s School and Church. We will always remember her fondly for her big smile, her use of a wooden spoon as an attention getter, her air knife skills, her passion for Christmas, her amateur electrician skills, her tolerance of home construction, her fantastic sewing skills, and all her stories about saints and Popes past and present.
Calling hours for Rosa will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, New York 14624.
