She graduated from the University of Brockport and began her teaching career. Later she met John Guerrero, Sr. in Colorado and married. Born son John and moved to Guam to continue teaching. She continued her travels to California and eventually back to Upstate New York, where she cared for special needs children at Mary Cariola Center. She continued her commitment to that community until her retirement. In her sunshine years, she continues a lifelong passion for crafting and hosting craft shows. She continued to foster lifelong friendships until her all too early passing at the age of 76.
She was a lifelong member of the Loyal Order of The Moose, an organization created to spread fellowship, ease burdens and celebrate life. The Women of The Moose will be presenting a memorial service at the viewing.
She has always been an inspiration to those that got to know her, both by being a person that could see the good in everyone, but also by being good. Her heart and life made her a person we should all attempt to model ourselves after.
If she were here to say one last thing, she would say “Thank you”.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 4-7pm at the funeral home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624.
