William "Bill" Gerard Maier

He joins his late parents, Margaret and Edward Maier in eternal rest.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Maureen Maier; stepdaughter, Danielle (Kevin) Reid; stepson, Bernie Rivera; and his beloved granddaughter, Juliana “JuJu”, who was his very best friend. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Paul) Gioia; brother, Steve (Gail) Maier; sisters-in-law, Yvonne (David), and Kathy; brothers-in-law, Doni (Edna), and Rick (Jeana); close nieces: Jordan (Patsy), Jayne-Lee (Nick), Jeena (Shawn), Tabitha (Steven), Blaire (Rolin), Jaclyn (Adam); great-nieces, Maya and Amelia; great-nephew, Levi; and many more nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from Nazareth College Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting, and from R.I.T. with an MBA in Finance. He retired after a 40 year career as an accountant for Hammer Packaging, now known as MCC, in Henrietta. He enjoyed coaching girls soccer for many years with his brother, Steve. He also enjoyed playing hockey. He was an avid lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and attended many games over the years. Bill was very generous and frequently volunteered at FoodLink and often donated to several charitable organizations, but especially cherished, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 4-7PM at the Funeral Home of Alvah Halloran & Son, located at 2125 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624.
