Adelaide M Fullum

Adelaide Marie (Boston) Fullum, 89, of Beaver Falls went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 4, 2017. Born on March 24, 1928 in New Brighton, PA, Adelaide was the daughter of the late Rosa Lee (Grant) and James Boston.

Adelaide will be greatly missed, leaving behind to cherish her faith-filled memories are her son Darnell (Kim) Fullum of Georgia; her daughters Rosalyn Icenhour of Georgia; Karen (Neal) Kirsch of Washington D.C. and Michelle Williams of New Brighton; her grandchildren Cameron Fullum, Jordan, Alexis, Blaine and Myriah Williams; her great-grandson Braelon Williams; Charlene Crawford; Samantha Icenhour; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, Church Family, friends and dear ones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas (LJ), Elijah (Buddy), Catherine and Hazel Boston.

In 2002, Adelaide retired from Commonwealth of PA with 28 years of service. At the time of her retirement, she held the position of a caseworker for the Department of Public Welfare in Rochester. She also previously worked as an insurance agent for North Carolina Mutual, and as the office manager for South Side Printery in both their Pittsburgh and Chicago offices.

A devoted lifetime active member of the Second Baptist Church (SBC) Beaver Falls, Adelaide’s church affiliations included: Willing Worker, Missionary, SBC Prayer Group, Women’s Ministry, Layman’s Alliance, and the AUBA. Her pastor, Rev.Tench, fondly referred to her as one of his "Golden Girls".

Adelaide loved God and her family. She enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, reading the newspaper, and watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. She remained extremely active attending church and family functions as often as possible until January of this year when she suddenly became ill.

A Memorial Service will be conducted by Rev.Bernard E. Tench, Jr. at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Second Baptist Church Beaver Falls. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA.
