

Alice was born at home on her parent’s farm in New Brighton, PA on July 12, 1918 to Amos and Esther Householder. She was their second child and had 4 brothers. Alice attended New Brighton High School and graduated in 1935. She then attended Duffs Iron City College in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated with a business degree in 1936.
She married Eugene H. Wilson, also from New Brighton, on March 11, 1938 and they lived for a few years in Ellwood City where Eugene worked before moving back to New Brighton. In New Brighton, Alice worked at the Union National Bank for several years.
Alice was an active member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in New Brighton. She was one of the first women to be a deacon in the church and was also a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and treasurer. Alice also was an active member of the New Brighton Garden Club, the New Brighton Historical Society, and the New Brighton Women’s Club. She enjoyed gardening (especially her rose bushes), reading, music and traveling.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her parents Amos and Esther, and her brothers Harold, John, Kenneth and Richard.
She is survived by her son Richard Wilson and his wife Maiju Wilson of Springfield, Virginia and her granddaughter Kristiina Wilson of New York City, New York.
At her request there will not be a viewing. Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 115 N. Mercer Road in New Brighton, with the Rev. Gary Angleberger, officiating. Private entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
