

Clyde was born on July 30, 1939, in Hecla, Westmoreland Co. PA, and attended Hurst High School in Mt. Pleasant Township with the class of 1957.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Nora Faye “Snookie” (Hoke) Funk; parents Clyde A. Funk and Dorothy J. Brawdy; father-in-law and mother-in-law Vernon “Duke” and Catherine (Pritts) Hoke; loving brothers Dr. Harry Funk, Larry Funk, and Paul Funk; and loving sister-in-law Gloria Randall.
Clyde retired after proudly working for 31 years at Babcock and Wilcox. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, especially working on his MG and Triumph cars. Clyde received great joy from spending time with his two grandsons, his favorite granddaughter, and his great-grandson whom he affectionately called “The Big Guy.”
Clyde is survived by and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his son Robert (Susan) Funk and daughter Amy Espey; brothers Jack (Debbie) Funk and Randy (LuJuana) Brawdy; brothers-in-law Wade Hoke and Dick Randall; grandsons Robert (Jen) Guidice and Ryan Guidice; granddaughter Stephanie Funk and great-grandson Greyson Fenstermaker; several cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for and gratitude to the staff at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph Personal Care for taking such wonderful, compassionate care of our dad and PapPap. Their goodwill in joking around with him always put a smile on his face.
Friends will be received on Friday March 22, 2024 from 5-7 pm and on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 PA Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074. Interment will follow at Concord United Methodist Church, Beaver Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bob and Snookie’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 600 Waterfront Dr. #210, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
