DeAnna Lynn Harris

DeAnna Lynn Harris, at the tender age of 12, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. DeAnna was born January 28, 2004 at the Medical Center, Beaver, daughter of Donna (Molter) Harris and Gregory S. Harris.

DeAnna was a fifth grade student at the Aliquippa Elementary School where she was a member of the Spanish Club. She enjoyed music and was looking forward to becoming a future member of the school band. DeAnna also liked to sing and would often sing her favorites as she wandered around the house. She was a member of the Baden Bomber Jr. Bowling League. DeAnna attended Victory Family Church, Cranberry Township.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother: Flossie (Perry) Harris.

DeAnna is survived by her mother: Donna Harris, with whom she lived; her father and step-mother: Gregory S. and Jennifer Harris, Canton, OH; her brother: Gregory L. Harris, Aliquippa; step-brothers: Patrick A. and Logan M. Shaw, Canton, OH; maternal grandparents: Walter and Dorothy (Sevin) Molter, Baden; paternal grandfather and his wife: Lawrence and Barbara Harris, Sr., Vera, FL; her grandma Patricia Murdock, Canton; aunts and uncles: Sandra; Lawrence, Jr.; Walter, Jr.; and Amy; cousins: Courtney and her children: Blake and Jaylen; Christopher; Latisha and her daughter: Ma’Layah; Alanna; Tyler; Caitlin and Emily; and her faithful and cuddly cat: Jasmine.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Victory Family Church, 21150 Route 19, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. DeAnna lived and fought her battle with cancer, while maintaining a positive outlook as well as expressing compassion for other children who were fighting illnesses.

In honor of her courageous fight and sensitivity towards other children, those who attend the Celebration of Life Service are invited to bring a Teddy Bear that will be donated to the children receiving care at the Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. Purple was her favorite color; and if possible, attendees to her service are invited to wear something purple.
