Dolores D. (McLaughlin) Stead, age 79, of Rochester, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at UPMC McCandless in Pittsburgh. Born January 16, 1946, in Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Francis (Skinger) McLaughlin. She worked as a Nurses Assistant at Sherwood Oaks, and she was a member of Champion Life Church in Darlington. She was incredible mother, grandmother, and everyone who met her, loved her.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Captain Michael Stead, one daughter; Stacey (Jason) Endy, an adopted son Larry (Kim) Bettencourt, three grandchildren; Autumn, Devin and Felicia, and great grandchildren; Raven, Brooklynn, Ava, Blayze, Addison, Ryot, Luna, and Ryder. Also surviving is a sister; Margaret Lucas and a brother; Dennis McLaughlin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Denise Stead and a son; Michael Stead.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 2-4 and 5-7pm at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the funeral home, at 11:00am.
