

Dick was born February 1, 1927 in Durant City, PA, the only child of the late John Q. and Dorothy McManigle Aaron.
Dick grew up in Midland, Pa. and attended school there until he received a musician’s scholarship to Valley Forge Military Academy for the 1943-44 school year. He returned to graduate from Lincoln High School in 1946. He then enlisted in the Navy. After being honorably discharged he returned home to work at Crucible Steel and met and married the love of his life, Beverly Rose Vanaman. After becoming an industrial painting contractor, years later he started his own business, ABCo Industrial Painting and Fireproofing in Chester, WV. He was an accomplished business owner and had a work ethic second to none. Upon retirement he and Bev lived in Vero Beach, FL. His most recent residency was Pepperberry Suites in Chester, WV.
Dick will be missed greatly by his daughters, Christine Laughlin of Chester,WV and Kelly (Tom) Reabe of Windermere, FL, and grandchildren Courtney (Chris) Balch of New Cumberland,WV Ashley (Ryan) Hammonds of East Liverpool, OH and Aaron Reabe of Windermere, FL and his four great-grandchildren Madilyn, Mikalyn, Tysen and Harper.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, son Richard and son-in-law Stanley Laughlin.
Dick was a member of the Catholic Church, VFW, American Legion, East Liverpool Country Club and Meadowood Golf and Tennis Club. His passions were his family, golf, music from the Big Band Era, playing cards, Cribbage with his daughters, and was an accomplished Bridge player.
A service will be held at a later date in Florida where he will be laid to rest with Beverly at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made online in Donald’s name to Wounded Warrior Project.
