Dorotha Jean Rombold Rambo, 91, formerly of New Brighton, Rochester, & Beaver, PA passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16th, 2018, in Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls, PA. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Born April 7, 1927, in New Brighton Hospital, a daughter of the late Clarence and Martha Pickard Rombold. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Beaver Valley Ward in Center Twp., where she faithfully served in many callings; one of her favorite as the Primary President for the children of the church.
She was a graduate of the 1945 class of New Brighton High School and also Garfield Business College in Beaver Falls, PA. Prior to marrying Frank Morris Rambo Jr. of Monaca on Nov 11, 1949, Dorotha was employed in the office of Richmond Radiator in Monaca, PA. She was active in her community and served in Rochester PTA and as PTA President for a time during her children’s school years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence E and Martha Pickard Rombold, her loving husband of 36 years Frank Morris Rambo Jr, infant daughter Mary Beth Rambo, brother Edward Duane Rombold, brother in law Robert C Bradshaw, granddaughter Christy Marie Rambo, and 2 great granddaughters Nauvoo Dawn Rasmussen and Lucy Celeste McClure.
Surviving are four children Frank Morris Rambo III, Beaver, PA; Mrs. Melissa Ann Rambo Christley & Warren Christley, St George, UT; Ms. Heidi Sue Rambo Running, Catossa, OK; Jeffrey Thomas & Angie Albert Rambo, Tulsa, OK; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; sister Shirley Ann Rombold Bradshaw, Chippewa, PA; brother Clarence James and Martha Yeager Rombold, North Sewickley Twp., PA; sister in law Evelyn Rambo Staff, Beaver Valley Nursing Center, Chippewa, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Saturday, June 23rd 2018, from 9:30AM - 10:30AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; 114 Church Drive, Monaca, PA 15061. The service will follow at 11:00 AM conducted by her former Bishop Curtis Nelson. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Providence Care Center Activities Fund, 300 3rd St, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
