Gary Hilton

Gary L. Hilton 63 of Ohioville, passed unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Heritage Valley Hospital, Beaver Campus. He was born August 24, 1946 in New Castle, son of James Hilton and Vera Hilton. Gary proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his honorable discharge he became a chemical tractor trailer driver.

In his leisure, Gary enjoyed fishing with his family. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, building, flying and crashing model airplanes. As a younger man, he also flew ultra-light aircraft. Gary was a member of the Midland Sportsmen’s Club.

Gary was preceded in death by his sister-in-law: Bette Hilton. He is survived by his father: James Hilton and his wife Carolyn, New Castle and his mother: Vera Hilton, New Castle. Gary is also survived by his loving wife of 42 years: Karen (Murphy) Hilton; a son and daughter-in-law: Pastor Gary and Michelle “Shae” Hilton, Jr., Volant, PA and their children: Maxwell, Casey and Esther “Essie” Hilton; a daughter: Kimberly Hilton-Jonas, Bridgewater, PA and her children: D.J., Brier and Sawyer Jonas; three brothers and a sister-in-law: James and Becky Hilton, Jan Hilton and Gene Hilton, all of New Castle.

Friends will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). His funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
