Guy A. Bruce

Guy A. Bruce, 89, of New Sewickley Twp., passed Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Rochester Manor. He was born on February 20, 1935 in Aliquippa to the late Joseph R. and Mary O. (White) Bruce. Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. (Dillon) Bruce.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his family camp along with tinkering, and was an avid whistler and ice cream eater. He was a retired union carpenter for local union #422 for over 50 years.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law; Tracy (Linda) Bruce of New Sewickley Twp., Eric (Dee) Bruce of Monrovia, CA., Cory (Rosanne) of New Sewickley Twp., Karen Bruce of New Sewickley Twp., eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, sister; Mary Jane (Jack) Raymond of Idaho, and sister-in-law, Glenmyra Bruce of Arizona, and a very close and special friend whom he considered a daughter, Brenda Werling, whom referred to him as “Hillbilly”.

Guy was preceded in death by his two sons, Guy, Jr., Jeffrey Bruce, two brothers, Joseph Glenn "Hick", Kenneth Bruce, two sisters, Margaret "Peg" Schwartz, Ruth Gallagher and sister-in-law, Bonita Boles, and brother-in-law, Ronald Dillon.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home 273 Rt. 68 Rochester, PA. 15074, where a service will be conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester.
