

Joyce P. Grimm, 68, a life-long resident of Rochester, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 4, 2011. She was born September 3, 1943 in Rochester, daughter of the late Roy and Mildred (Kelly) Powell.
She was employed at Beaver Trust for 10 years where she served as the Assistant to the Investment Officer; and later 13 years as the Data Entry Administrator for the Sales Department of Col-Fin Specialty Steel, Fallston.
Joyce married her high school sweetheart Thomas Grimm after five years of courtship; and they were blessed to enjoy 47 years of marriage. Such a close inseparable couple all of these years, their friends affectionately simply referred to them as Tom and Joyce, never one without the other. She was a great homemaker, always involved and supporting every activity of her children. Joyce also lovingly cared for her mother and her Aunt Carrie Patterson.
A woman of deep faith, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rochester for many years where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She later became of faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, West Bridgewater. Joyce was the type of person that no one was a stranger. She was always graciously considered a friend to everyone.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 47 years: Thomas W. Grimm; one son: Curt (Shannon) Grimm, Rochester; one daughter: Carrie (Gerald) Gross, Rochester; her grandson: Ryder Grimm; her great niece who she loved as a granddaughter: Taya Ransom; one brother: John W. (Claudia) Powell of Colorado; and her sister: Lorraine P. (George “Skip”) Vollmer, Beaver; and nieces and nephews.
In honor of her wishes, cremation arrangements are by SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Rochester.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, 408 Bridge Street, West Bridgewater, with The Reverend Dr. William H. Silver, officiating.

Joyce lived to share with others her faith in the hope of salvation and promise of eternal life. God’s promise to her has now been fulfilled.
