

RACCOON TOWNSHIP
On Saturday, May 20, 2017, surrounded by family, Nancy passed away to join her parents and husband, Gene. She was born September 25, 1941, in Rochester, daughter of the late Frederick “Buzz” and Helen (McCowin) Kugel.
Nancy was a former member of the Raccoon Township VFD Ladies Auxiliary; Raccoon Elementary PTA and the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Raccoon Township.
Nancy was an impeccable hand sewer who was skilled at crafting holiday ornaments and tree skirts, many of which she loved to share with others. She also enjoyed making holiday magnets for her grandchildren to hand out at school.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Gene Gormley, who passed sixteen years ago on February 24, 2001.
Nancy is survived by two daughters: Tina and Norman Crooks; Colleen Jesko; one son: Eugene, Jr. and Teresa Gormley; six grandchildren: Kayla (Zach) Brown; Charlise and Reece Jesko; Michael, Nolan and Loren Gormley; a sister: Janice (Joe) Kandor; one brother: Chuck (Ginny) Kugel; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will visit on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, GPS 848 Sunflower Road), where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday with Chaplain Don Scandrol of Vitas Hospice, officiating. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
The family would like to thank: Char, Rose, Shannon and Don from Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care. Additionally, her lady friends: Jane, Tina, Barb and Stacy whose visits and phone calls kept her happy. Lastly, thanks to Flo Iams for her love, care and occasional aggravation, for our mother.
